Welcome to UX Psychology
a newsletter focused on UX related news from the eyes of a UX Researcher/Cognitive Psychologist
What’s the point of this newsletter?
UX Psychology will cover various issues relating to UX - from essays on the role of cognition in user experience to more practical guides on how to conduct different types of research and analyze data.
For the last few months, I have been writing on Medium. You might have read some of my articles on UX Collective (e.g., “Why do users hate redesigns”, “How to optimize button microcopy”). Unfortunately, my account there was suspended, which means that all my work there is no longer accessible. I'm planning to post some of this work here as well as some new articles. Using Substack also allows me to promote and share the work of others I find inspiring free of the constraints Medium imposed on me.
Who am I?
I am a UX Researcher with a PhD in Cognitive Psychology. Before moving to the UX world on a full-time basis, I was a university lecturer specialised in Cognitive Psychology and human-computer interaction. I am also on the spectrum and tick various diversity boxes.
